A photography exhibition, titled \'Urban Changes\', will be organized at the Goethe Institut from February 8 till 25, daily from 10am till 7pm.
Urban Changes is a presentation of the results of a photo workshop by German photographer Andrea Künzig in Mumbai. Goethe-Institut Mumbai organised a photography workshop with a special focus – to capture and present images of India through the lenses of well-known young photographers from the South Asia region.
Under the direction of Andrea Künzig the photographers from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka focused on the development of urban and rural structures in the era of globalization, using photography as an art form and also a medium for juxtaposition.
The topic ‘Urban Changes’ has a large canvas as such and the approaches of photographic exploration are manifold. In their endeavour to present their perception of ‘Urban Changes’ the photographers got an opportunity to identify their individual forté in
this field and develop his/her own stylistic approach in photography.
The project was conducted by the sophisticated German photographer who resides and works at present in Istanbul/Turkey. Goethe Institut Bangladesh is delighted to introduce the results of her workshop now in Dhaka in the framework of our theme of 2010: “creative visions for a better future”. The exhibition will be free for all interested individuals.
